Announcement of 2026 ACDC Endorsement & Candidate Filing Information

The Allegheny County Democratic Committee has set the date for candidates seeking the Allegheny County Democratic Endorsement for the 2026 Primary Election. 

Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 10 AM to 3 PM at IBEW Local #5 at 5 Hot Metal St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203

Democratic candidates seeking the following positions are eligible to seek endorsement:

US Congress - Districts 12 and 17, State Senate - Districts 38, and 42, State House Districts and Members of State Committee that include Allegheny County

The fee structure is as follows:

• Congress $ 5,000.00
• State Senate $ 2,500.00
• State House $ 1,000.00 (pro-rated for districts that are partly in Allegheny County, please reach out to nebraska@alleghenydems.com for more information)
• State Committee $50.00

Candidates who wish to seek the Allegheny County Democratic Committee Endorsement must submit a letter of Intent, a headshot, biography, and the designated filing fee made payable to ‘Allegheny County Democratic Committee’ by Monday, February 9, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

Winners of the endorsement will receive materials supporting their candidacy including placement on our slate card for the primary election, placement in our digital voter guide, and campaign support services from the ACDC. Additional materials including texts will be granted for all endorsees excluding State Committee candidates.
