Committee Member Training and Elections 

Committee members are elected every four years during the Primary Election. The next election is May 19, 2026.  

Because this is a party position, the election is effectively decided in the Primary. Existing committee members must run for re-election, and we also have vacancies across the County that we’d love to fill with enthusiastic volunteers. Committee members are the grassroots of the Democratic party, working to inform and turn out voters in every ward in the City of Pittsburgh and each municipality outside the city.

Important Dates

• February 17: First day to circulate and file nomination petitions.
• March 10: Last day to file nomination petitions.
• March 17: Last day to file objections to nomination petitions.
• March 25: Last day to withdraw.
• May 19: PRIMARY ELECTION (Committee Members are elected on this day).

Training Opportunities

Join ACDC for a training to learn more about the responsibilities and opportunities on committee! We will be providing information for both old and new committee members as well as guidance on running for committee seats in 2026.
